Course Description
This course provides students with short- and long-term projects which address real-life design situations. Students begin to develop their competencies in solving residential and commercial design problems. This course continues the studio experiences of INDS 2215. Topics include the application of the principles and elements of design, space planning, materials selection, graphic presentation, project documentation and implementation, and client presentation techniques.
Course Outcomes
Application of the Principles and Elements of Design
- Integrate the principles and elements of design to class projects.
Space Planning
- Create a response to project scenarios using technical and conceptual skills.
Material Selection
- Demonstrate correct material selection for commercial and residential projects.
Documentation and Implementation
- Construct contract documents and project management materials for interiors projects.
Graphic Presentation
- Demonstrate graphic presentation skills.

- Identify the programming, design development, implementation, and evaluation steps needed in interiors projects.
