PSYC 2101 Psychology of Adjustment

This course explores psychological adjustment, or the process by which people adapt to the demands of everyday life circumstances across the lifespan. Factors that affect adjustment include gender, personality, self-esteem, ability to communicate effectively, health, experience of stress, changes with aging, and coping processes. Factors also include social influence and pressure, relationships with others, career preparation, and work through the stages of life. Students will use this knowledge to actively take charge of their own lives as they adjust to an ever-changing world.

Prerequisite

Degree program admission language competency or successful completion of required English and reading learning support courses with grades of C or higher.
