Course Description
This course provides students with an introduction to anatomy and physiology, disorders of the skin, and nutrition and health of the skin. Topics include cells, tissues, organs, and body systems (skeletal, muscular, nervous, circulatory, endocrine, excretory, respiration, digestive, and structure of the skin).

5 List the three basic food groups and describe their importance.
6 Explain calories and how diets can affect our skin.
7 Explain why water is so important to the health of the skin.
8 Discuss how hormones, medications, and some of our habits can affect the skin.
9 List different causes of some allergies.
10 Discuss different vitamins used in cosmetics.
