EMET 2170 Quality Management for Manufacturing

This course introduces the principles and methods of Quality Management (QM) as it relates to the manufacturing environment. Topics include quality control, quality tools, and quality implementation as related to manufacturing systems. Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles will be emphasized with use of statistical methodology and tools using MatLab, SPSS, and ANOVA methods using spreadsheet software. Linear regression, correlation, histograms, and scatter plots for the statistical analysis of quality control and for the implementing lean manufacturing practices.
