Course Description
In this course, students become acquainted with the concepts of the software related to sheet metal modeling for mechanical drafting, multi-body parts assemblies, and basic animation techniques for mechanical assembly presentations. Students must pay a $25 supply fee when registering for this course.
Course Outcomes
Demonstrate and understanding of Sheet Metal Solid Modeling functions of software.
Order Description
1 Use and arrange workspace and interface.
2 Use tools, menus, and keyboard commands to perform 3D models and drawings and editing
techniques.
3 Use and manage computer hardware and peripherals for input, output and storage.
Demonstrate creative skills by producing 3D Solid Model Assemblies
Order Description
1 Produce 3D models using proper techniques to develop drawings or presentations.
Demonstrate creative skills by producing animations of multiple parts for a presentation using 3D software
Order Description
1 Creatively produce animation/presentation using materials, lighting and movement techniques in
solid modeling software.
2 Demonstrate creative skills in lighting, texture and camera angles by producing presentation for
mechanical projects.
3 Prepare drawings with appropriate characteristics for output.
