Course Description
This course continues the development of blueprint reading as applied to technical drawing. Topics include threads (inch and metric), auxiliary views, geometric tolerancing, and weldments.

Threads
Order Description
1 Identify eight different thread forms.
2 Specify thread callout for eight different thread forms.
3 Calculate lead for single, double and triple threads.
4 Specify thread callout for inch and metric threads using standard
thread tables.
Auxiliary Views
Order Description
1 Identify primary and secondary views.
2 Interpret auxiliary views to calculate missing dimensions.
Geometric Tolerancing
Order Description
1 Identify and interpret feature control frame.
2 Identify and interpret datums.
3 Identify and interpret modifiers.
4 Identify and interpret location tolerances.
Weldments
Order Description
1 Identify five different types of joints.
2 Identify four different types of gas and electric welds.
3 Callout the correct weld, with dimensions, using a typical weld symbol chart.
