Course Description
This course is a continuation of the study in commercial wiring practices and procedures. Topics include conduit design and installation practices and system design concepts. Students must pay a $30 supply fee when registering for this course.

2 Explain the operating principle three-wire single-phase connections.
3 Properly connect wiring to a low voltage door chime system.
Low Voltage Systems
Order Description
1 Name and describe the components of a low voltage system.
2 Identify the NEC codes that are applicable to commercial low voltage systems.
3 Design a low voltage system for a commercial application.
Conduit Design and Installation
Order Description
1 Measure, chisel, cut, and/or drill the structure for a conduit system.
2 Measure, cut, run, and/or terminate wiring through a conduit system.
3 Identify rigid conduit.
4 Identify special purpose conduit and connectors.
5 Properly ground a conduit system.
6 Identify hazards of working with conduit systems.
7 Install PVC conduit and boxes to structures.
8 Identify PVC conduit and connectors.
9 Identify EMT connectors.
10 Measure, cut, run, and/or terminate wiring through conduits to junction boxes or receptacles.
