Course Outcomes
Orthographic Sketching and Drawing
Order Description
1 Define key terms pertaining to orthographic drawing.
2 Develop a pictorial sketch that is proportional to the given an orthographic drawing of an
object.
3 Sketch and identify the required orthographic/principal views given a 3D sketch.
4 Construct formal multiview 2D drawings that fully describe the given 3D sketch of an object.
Basic Dimensioning
Order Description
1 Identify the fundamental components of standard dimensions and notes.
2 Identify poor dimensioning and annotation practices while employing the correct
dimensioning and annotation practices required for the given drawing.
3 Prepare fully dimensioned formal multiview drawings given industry related sketches.
Intermediate CAD Techniques
Order Description
1 Demonstrate the ability to customize setup options for designated CAD software.
2 Create and edit a library of frequently used details for inserting into the designated CAD
software application.
3 Modify and apply dimension and annotation settings within designated CAD software to
produce industry standard dimensions and annotations within multi-view drawings.
4 Demonstrate the necessary steps to setup the use of custom title blocks.
5 Organize the layout of various sheets and required views while implementing the use of
multiple scales in formal multiview drawings.
